beheard is a voice-first app. We design the product to prioritize privacy, safety, and conversation quality.

- Account Info: Email, display name, language preference
- Usage Data: Call logs, call duration, feedback, ratings
- Device Info: IP address, device type, operating system
- Payment Data: Provided to Stripe, not stored on our servers

4. End-to-End Encryption
All calls on BeHeard are end-to-end encrypted. This means we cannot access or store the content of your voice calls.
5. Transcriptions
Real-time transcription is offered for accessibility. Transcripts are processed on-device or temporarily in RAM and are not saved or retained unless explicitly enabled by the user.
6. Cookies and Tracking
We use Firebase services which may collect anonymous usage metrics. We do not use third-party advertising or cookie tracking.
7. Third-Party Services
- Firebase: Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions
- Stripe: Payment processing (PCI-compliant)
- CallKeep: Call UI integration
These providers may collect data according to their own privacy policies.
8. Data Retention
We retain user metadata (not call audio) for as long as your account is active, or as required by law or platform operations.
9. Your Rights
- You may request to view, edit, or delete your personal data
- You may delete your account at any time in-app
- We will comply with data requests in accordance with New Zealand law
10. Children
BeHeard is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
11. Security
We take appropriate measures to protect your data using secure storage, access controls, and encryption practices.
